ACES provides services to individuals diagnosed with emotional, physical, and physiological disabilities which includes those with hearing and visual disabilities. ACES believes that providing caring support will enable our participants to make better choices in the areas of education and career development. Our goal is to provide the proper training and resources necessary to enable the under-served community to achieve their employment goals in a competitive workforce. At ACES, Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Individual Work Plans (IWP) are developed with each participant, and are designed to help each participant recognize and achieve true independence.

Our History

The history of our company began in the summer of 2007, when two colleagues with certifications in employment services discussed and concluded that the problems faced by disabled and socially disadvantaged individuals is the urgent need for education, exposure and experience. After a few more conversations, they agreed that the concept of "employment skills" aptly describes the gap that exists between qualified and non-qualified applicants. Moreover, they agreed that proper training and networking resources are necessary tools to enable this underserved community to overcome their employment needs in a competitive workforce. ACES, Inc. was developed as a result of the desire of these two colleagues to share in the empowerment of this underserved and underrepresented social group. Since that fateful meeting, ACES, Inc. has become a catalyst for change in the lives of many disabled individuals. Through its programs and services, ACES has assisted countless individuals with obtaining education and training resulting in better job opportunities. Currently, ACES, Inc. is embarking on a mission to expand its services and programs, thus growing the number of individuals it serves as well as enhancing the quality of its programs.

Personal Testimony

Growing up in a socially and economically challenging environment with a developmental disability, I have experienced countless trials and triumphs. I learned firsthand that individuals who face these difficulties are not unemployable; they simply lack the employment skills necessary to make them competitive within the workforce. My experiences have served as the foundation on which ACES, Inc has been built. As a professional, I feel that it is my responsibility to help educate the community about the challenges faced by disabled and socially disadvantaged individuals. At ACES, we provide disabled, socially and economically advantaged individuals with the education, exposure, and experience that they need to be successful. My personal, professional, and academic background, as well as my passion to make a difference in our community, all serve as the driving force for the unique combination of services we offer at ACES, Inc. After all, I know firsthand that, "The game of life is not over until you compete."
