Employment Services

Employment Services aim to help individuals with disabilities secure meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities through personalized job search assistance, training, and employer partnerships. The service involves the following:
  • Job Placement Assistance: We assist clients in identifying suitable job opportunities based on their skills and preferences, and we work closely with employers to place candidates in inclusive environments.
  • Job Readiness Training: Focused on preparing individuals for the workforce, this training includes resume writing, interview preparation, and communication skills development.
  • Ongoing Job Support: ACES provides ongoing support once employment is secured to ensure individuals maintain their job positions through regular check-ins and job coaching.

Job Coaching Services

  • Alliance Community and Employment Services (ACES) – Job Coaching Services
Alliance Community and Employment Services, Inc. (ACES) provides Job Coaching Services through Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) to help individuals with disabilities prepare for, secure, and maintain meaningful employment. Our job coaches work one-on-one with participants in the workplace to provide hands-on support, training, and guidance until they are confident and able to perform their job duties independently.
Key components of ACES Job Coaching Services include:
    • On-the-job training: Assisting participants with learning job tasks, duties, and routines.
    • Workplace accommodations: Helping implement strategies or tools to support success on the job.
    • Soft skills development: Coaching in areas such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and professionalism.
    • Natural support building: Encouraging connections with supervisors and coworkers to ensure long-term success.
    • Gradual fading of support: Reducing assistance over time as participants gain confidence and independence.
Our goal at ACES is to ensure that individuals with disabilities receive the support they need to succeed in meaningful employment, while employers benefit from reliable, well-prepared employees.

Ticket to Work Program

Social Security Disability Support for Employment
Are you receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and thinking about going back to work? The Ticket to Work (TTW) program can help you take the next step toward financial independence — without immediately losing your benefits.
What is Ticket to Work?
Ticket to Work is a free and voluntary program from the Social Security Administration (SSA) that supports people with disabilities who want to work. SSA issues “tickets” to eligible individuals, which can be used with an Employment Network (EN) like Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) or community partners such as ACES.
Services and Supports May Include:
  • Continued cash benefits while you test your ability to work
  • Ongoing access to Medicaid or Medicare while employed
  • Guidance from Benefits Specialists to help you understand how work affects your benefits
  • Support with work-related expenses related to your disability
  • Job placement, career counseling, training, and accommodations

Supported Employment (For Individuals Needing More Support)

Supported Employment provides individuals with disabilities who require more intensive assistance the opportunity to succeed in the workplace with tailored support. This service includes:
  • Job Coaching: Clients receive on-site or virtual support to help them adapt to their new role and perform job tasks successfully.
  • Job Modification: When necessary, we collaborate with employers to modify work tasks or environments to meet the individual’s needs, ensuring the person can thrive in the workplace.
  • Long-Term Support: Some individuals may need more extended follow-up support, which ACES provides through regular check-ins and troubleshooting.

On-The-Job Training (OJT)

On-The-Job Training provides clients with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working in a real-world job environment. This includes:
  • Supervised Learning: Clients learn job-specific skills while being supervised by an experienced mentor or job coach.
  • Skill Development: Training is customized to the individual’s goals, ensuring they acquire the skills required for future employment opportunities.
  • Employment Readiness: The OJT process helps clients transition from training to full-time employment by instilling work habits, punctuality, and the ability to follow workplace routines.
