Executive overview

Alliance Community & Employment Services, Inc. (ACES) is entering a pivotal year of growth. The annual calendar creates a clear structure for community resource fairs, job fairs, Leaders with a Destiny Summits, school-break career camps, caregiver workshops, mental health access, podcast programming, and strategic outreach. It gives ACES the ability to plan early, secure spaces, invite partners, request sponsorships, and move from individual events into a connected year-round impact model.

The heart of this plan is not simply to reserve dates. The goal is to create a rhythm of service that families can recognize and community partners can support. By organizing the year in advance, ACES builds a stronger pipeline from awareness to engagement, from engagement to services, and from services to measurable outcomes.

ACES has submitted proposals for library spaces, operates satellite locations in Miami and West Palm, and continues to build partnerships with local nonprofits, family organizations, disability advocates, employers, and community leaders.

03The reasoning

Why this calendar matters

This annual plan gives ACES the structure needed to scale with intention. Families need consistency. Nonprofit partners need advance notice. Libraries and host sites need clear proposals. Sponsors need enough lead time to review requests. This calendar brings all of those needs into one shared roadmap.

The dates support a larger strategy: reaching families where they already gather, using trusted community spaces, strengthening employment and self-advocacy services, creating leadership opportunities for youth, and connecting individuals with disabilities and underserved families to practical support.

  • Participant impact

    Build work readiness, self-advocacy, communication, confidence, career exploration, job placement readiness, mental health access, and family support through repeated programming across the year.

  • Community growth

    Strengthen partnership development, library relationships, nonprofit collaboration, employer engagement, volunteer recruitment, and clear reporting on what each event achieved.

Five ways the year takes shape

    Leaders with a Destiny Summits

    Leaders with a Destiny is ACES' signature youth and family empowerment platform. The summit model creates a space where learners, families, caregivers, educators, nonprofit partners, disability advocates, and community leaders connect around leadership, self-advocacy, employment readiness, wellness, and future planning.

    The calendar expands the summit model across Miami-Dade, Broward, and West Palm, building a recognizable regional presence while adapting each event to the needs of the local community.

    Resource Fairs and Job Fairs

    Resource fairs unite nonprofit organizations, service providers, family support agencies, employers, mental health partners, disability advocates, and community organizations so families can access support in one place. The South Miami Job Fair focuses specifically on workforce connections, employer engagement, interview preparation, resume support, and employment pathways.

    These events also create a practical pathway into ACES intake, referrals, partner follow-up, and volunteer opportunities.

    School-Break Career Camps

    ACES provides school-break camps during Thanksgiving, winter, spring, and summer breaks. All school-break week camps are planned as tri-county programming for Miami-Dade, Broward, and West Palm.

    These camps give families structured options during school closures while helping learners develop career readiness, confidence, communication, leadership, self-advocacy, creativity, emotional regulation, and future planning skills.

    Library Workshops and Mental Health Access

    ACES has submitted proposals for library spaces and is building library-based programming for students, parents, caregivers, and community members. Libraries offer trusted, accessible community spaces where families can receive workshops, resource navigation, mental health support, and one-to-one assistance.

    Planned offerings include family and caregiver workshops, parent support sessions, one-to-one mental health services, community resource navigation, and practical training in partnership with approved library locations.

    The ACES Podcast

    The ACES podcast is a public education and advocacy platform. Beginning with the August 1, 2026 launch episode on the conflict with charter schools, it highlights issues affecting families, individuals with disabilities, educators, employers, and underserved communities.

    It also elevates partner voices, community needs, and ACES success stories.

Built on relationships already in motion

ACES is not starting from zero. Library proposals have been submitted, satellite locations are in place in Miami and West Palm, and ACES continues to develop relationships with nonprofit organizations, family groups, disability partners, employers, and community leaders.

The pending partnership with the Orange Bowl represents an important opportunity to connect ACES' youth leadership and community empowerment work with a highly visible regional partner.

What we track, and why

For the calendar to be sustainable, ACES tracks outcomes consistently. Each event has a simple reporting structure so we can show what happened, who was reached, what services were requested, and what next steps are needed.

  • Program readiness

    Confirmed event dates, location status, lead staff, vendor and speaker lists, registration links, and marketing timeline.

  • Community reach

    Attendance counts, vendor and nonprofit participation, family and youth contacts, caregiver participation, and referral requests.

  • Workforce outcomes

    Participants receiving resume support, mock interviews, job exploration, self-advocacy training, job referrals, or Ticket to Work intake support.

  • Family support

    Caregiver workshop attendance, parent support sessions, mental health referrals, resource navigation requests, and follow-up contacts.

  • Partnership growth

    New and pending partners, library approvals, employer participation, nonprofit collaborators, sponsors, and volunteer commitments.

  • Sustainability

    Funding requests submitted, sponsorships secured, in-kind donations, volunteer pipelines, and completed post-event reports.
